We are a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of literary and creative content in Indonesia. Collaborating with the publishing industry stakeholders, government, private companies, as well with communities; we have initiated and organized various educational and inspirational programs that encourage the creation of sustainable literary ecosystems.

We strive to create high quality literary products, creating an accessible path for the communities to reach various reading materials, and improving the literary role in Indonesia to contribute to global issues.

Since becoming the Guest of Honor in Frankfurt Book Fair 2015, Indonesia has gained an increased attention for its publishing and creative content industry. Each year, more works from Indonesian authors are getting published abroad, more inquiries were made.

To boost the growing industry, in early 2020, 17000 Pulau Imaji Foundation was established. It is intended to bridge and facilitate the collaboration between authors, illustrator, creative content creators and publishing industry shareholders both local and foreign.

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the international publishing industry’s biggest trade fair – with 7,100 exhibitors from more than 100 countries, around 275,000 visitors, over 4,000 events and approximately 10,000 accredited journalists – including 2,000 bloggers – in attendance.

It also gathers key players from other media, including the film and games industries. Since 1976, the Book Fair has featured an annual Guest of Honour country, which showcases its book market, literature and culture to attendees in a variety of ways.
