Print media is a medium as old as the dawn of our modern world. Back then, it was the only medium for storytelling, but in today's world of digital distribution, the medium is struggling to find relevance. But again, the medium is just medium. At the core, it's just storytelling.

During Jakarta Content Week 2020, we learned more about storytelling from Joe Sabia. He is best known as the creator and interviewer behind Vogue's award-winning series, "73 Questions," he shared about the transformation of storytelling medium into different kinds of form, including viral challenges. He was also the SVP of Creative Development at Condé Nast Entertainment for 6 years. In his years at the company, subscribers on YouTube have gone from 1.7 Million to 48 Million. From 50M monthly views on YouTube to 550M.

Joe started his career as a founder of a digital lab at HBO, and in 2010 he gave a TED talk on storytelling. Ever since, he has created ideas and videos for companies such as Google, CFDA Fashion Awards, and others and led the content developments for Wired, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and many more.

Once interviewed Billie Eilish for "Billie Eilish: Same Interview, One Year Later", Joe is a classical music lover and an--surprise, surprise--international pun champion.
